I DIDN'T KNOW...... 4-14-09

As you all know, I have beau coup blogs listed on my FAVORITE BIKER BLOG'S list and I go to each one at least once a week and a couple everyday. I started doing this blog in March 2008 and have had a lot of comments. However, as the picture below shows, I am a little out of sync with the rest of the world and until, like, yesterday when I was leaving a comment on another blog, did I notice that I could leave a comment to a comment on my posts.. Talk about a major brain fart! Most brain farts only last a little while. This one was from March 08 to April 13, 2009. I did not know about that or forgot that I knew.. So now, if you comment, I will start leaving comments on your comments. Unless I have another brain fart and forget about what I just found out...

I want to especially thank Berge at Baron's Life (http://baronsview.blogspot.com/) and Lady R at Glider Rider (http://ladyridesalot.blogspot.com/), both who have OUTSTANDING blogs and through their comment sections, showed me the error of my ways. And I want to thank them for letting me find out on my own. I learn something new everyday. I also apologize to all of you who have posted comments and there was nothing from me in response. Nothing personal.. Now, if I could remember what Janice wanted me to do today that was so important..Hmmm.

Scroll down for more rides, events & posts and don't forget to click on the "older posts" link at the bottom of EACH page for more rides and posts. Check out North Texas Bikers (1) at http://www.jjskewlstuff.blogspot.com/ for rides, events & posts from January 08-November 08. Until next post, ya'll be careful out there, ride safe, keep the rubber on the road & pray for our Troops................JOHN

  4. Lady R,

The only biker song I couldn't find on Playlist.com was "Freedom of the Open Road' by Joey J and the Shovelheads. Sorry bout the loud bike.. I oughta put a flashing warning thing on the blog to prepare ya'll for what happens. But it might be a good time to practice getting use to the cotton in the ears. Gotta Hate them wasps....(grin)

  5. Hey John...Firstly thanks so much for the mention...but I am not the important one here..I have grown to respect you personally and your blog, mainly for the following 2 reasons:
1- You do take care of our Biker Brothers in TX, and you care for them like a mother hen (No pun intended) but you make our community glow...When I read your posts, I never stop thinking how could this one person care so much for all these people and mention them all without any exception. You posted the heart attack case and asked for prayers...and brother, we did...! and the Lord heard us and Rodney is not only back on his feet...he's riding and enjoying life.
2- And this point to me, is so very important, two of my cousins from Medford MA, were war heroes in the second World War in Korea. Capt. Cedric Janian and Private Henry Janian, they both made it back home to Boston...but Henry was never quite the same, until he finally passed away in Haiwii and seeing you honor the troops overseas the way you do, speaks volumes for the kind of man and human being you are...God Bless you for this for we must never forget the sacrifices these men, often young boys barely past the age of 18, make for us... For this I Salute you Bro...!
As for the brain fart...I really wouldn't worry about it because blogging is a very personal thing and many bloggers chose not to comment on comments and hence I never made any remark...but Had I known you were undergoing a certain medical condition called Brain Fart, believe me, I would have come to the rescue as would have Lady R! So far bro...you're doing well and we're proud of you for you really represent what the riding community is all about Bro... Johnny baby...I'm not sure about the rest of the people...but Boy I'm mighty proud of you!

  8. FYI, John, all your Favorite Biker Blogs go to RSS feeds and not to the Blogs. I did not try the other links.

  9. Torch,

I know some of them went to those RSS feeds. But I know zilch about RSS stuff...Is it something I would want to subscribe to? John

  10. Baron & Lady R,

My comment to your comments is not here, so apparently I messed up somewhere. So, here I will go to plan B & try it again.

    Baron,

Your kind words have flattered me and I am a bright shade of red... I love riding bikes, meeting new people, taking care of friends, taking pictures and promoting our lifestyle. I know from personal experience that God still answers prayers and if you or any other viewer informs me of a brother or sister in need of prayer, along the lines of Rodney's post, then by all means, send me the info and I will post it. I am also a vet and I support all Veterans in the U.S., Canada & elswhere around the world that are our allies. The PGR was founded out of a need to stand for our military & military families here at home and I am proud to be a member and wish I could shake every Veteran's hand. Because without them, I could not sit here and freely do this blog or talk to you or ride the bike or worship God...Thank You, Berge I appreciate you Bro...Ride Safe, John

    Lady R,

You are absolutely right!! This is great..I am going to have to learn to remember to shorten my responses. I can see where I can really get involved and end up doing a comment that is longer than a post...But, I think this is so cool. Or in the language of my younger days, "This is Far Out, man". Thank you for helping me learn about this function..Ride Safe..John
