When I got to Jim's Bike Detail Shop, I met up with Steve, Richard and Mike. Jim (in the background) was in the process of putting on an inspection sticker on Mike's Harley. Steve, by the way, is Mike's brother.
Here is Jim getting the paperwork done for the inspection sticker, while Mike stands by his Harley. I believe Steve said that Jim had given Mike's bike a wash. Very shiny and very sharp looking.
Next to be done is Richard's Harley Screamin' Eagle, seen sitting out front waiting to brought in and put on the lift.
Jim doing the data entry thing. There is more to doing bike inspections than just the inspecting...there is also the required paperwork that has to be done..
Mike was showing us the larger back rest he put on his bike for Robbie's riding comfort. Robbie has her own Harley but being Mike's girlfriend, she likes riding with him. Richard is also Robbie's Dad.
Some of the chrome detail work on Mike's bike. Clean isn't it...
Jim putting the inspection sticker on Mike's bike
Here is Richard at his bike.
Richard is getting his bike cleaned up at Jim's. Here you can see some of the Texas pterodactyl's splattered on Richard's fairing that he has collided with. You know how much of a pain in the butt it can be getting those guts off your bike
Here is a picture of Jim's Bike Detail Shop. He had the sign on the side painted on yesterday.. Also had that inspection sign mounted.
Mike, Steve and Richard look over Richard's bike
Mike getting ready to move his bike as Jim looks on
Mike decided to let Steve take the Harley home and Mike was going to take Richard back down to Red River Harley Davidson
Jim showing Richard the new sign
Jim started washing Richard's bike a short time later. He got the pterodactyl splatters off with relative ease.
Here Jim is wiping down and cleaning the pipes. During the washing of the bikes, Jim takes off the saddlebags to get to the area covered by the bags..
Richard's Screamin' Eagle sans saddlebags
Jim gets some cleaning solution off of the shelf..
Jim doing the pipes. Yesterday Jim was sitting out front waiting for some business. Today, he laughingly told me that he is so busy now he may have to get some help.....This is the kind of support we need to continue to give Jim & all the other assorted biker owned/biker operated business's here in the area, from the Detail shop to the apparel & accessory shops..
Last picture is of Richard's bike up on the lift, getting a wash. Remember to take your dirty bikes to Jim's Bike Detail Shop, 5400 Southwest Parkway (NW corner of Southwest Parkway & Barnett Rd across from the stadium) phone 940-691-1121. Jim will wash & professionally detail your bike making it look outstanding. Remember, Friday & Saturday is by appointment only. Stop in and say hi.

Berge,
ReplyDeleteAppreciate the good words & support you give me. I am seriously thinking of riding up to B.C. next year, if I can get a passport, and meeting you. I should have my Harley and that would be it's first road trip. Ya'll ride safe up there and I hope you had a great Easter.
