DAY 6 Trip To Tucson Arizona 4-25-09

Day 6, Saturday 4-25-09, we had a run to to Oracle Arizona. On today's ride were: Dale, Jason & Kim, Bill & me. Jason had a basket case Harley he put together and the title says its an 08 Custom. Prior to heading out, we walked across the street to Jason & Kim's house. Here are, left to right: Dale, Kim & Jason..

Kim wanted me to see her belt buckle. Apparently, Bill & Dale and Kim & Jason had been on a Harley Run with a raffle drawing. Dale won the belt buckle and gave it to Kim.

Then it was show time...This is Jason's Harley he put together from the baskets of parts.

Those are not your run of the mill Harley emblems on the tank....

Heading North on Shannon Rd

Heading North on Oracle Rd and toward the mountains. Dale didn't go with us as he was going to the shop to check on his Harley. The shop has had his bike for six months and according to Dale, is jerking him around and giving him excuse after excuse, why the bike isn't ready. I personally feel it's because he paid them up front.. If something like this happened in Texas, somebodies butt would be in a sling by now..

You could almost hear Kim's squeals of delight over the rumbling of the Harley's..Almost...

Yep, we had a great time today. I got a kick outta watching Kim & Jason. Bill was all grins...

Heading North up Oracle Rd. The mountains, at this point , are off to my right. And that is pure desert sand. It was a little warm...But I used my Anti Monkey Butt Powder and was fine... T.M.I. ???

The owner of the lounge has the initials "JD" so it has a Jack Daniel's theme also. One of the pool tables. All the pool tables have the same felt covering

The lounge had been closed down quite awhile when JD bought it. When they went inside, they found a hidden locked storeroom. When they opened it, they found a bunch of assorted bottles of alcohol including several bottles of Jack Daniels Old No. 7 made in 1904. The price for a shot of this century + 5 year old liquid refreshment: $35.00

We went to the patio and here is Kim soaking up some rays as we wait for lunch... Kim & Jason are leaving on a cruise this Friday & she is getting ready for it...

On our way back to Tucson, about 35 miles or so South. We had to do a right end run around those mountains in front of us & Tucson is on the other side...

The weather was great today..Everyday has be perfect riding weather so far...

Bill as we roll South. Last year, I had a brain fart and took a lot of pics of Dale's Harley with all the skull extra's and only got a couple of Bill's Harley. I made up for it this year...

We get back to the house and Niece Lisa is out front. So, here is Uncle John with Lisa...

Almost everyone in the North Texas area is familiar with me sticking the camera in their face and taking a close up. We can now add Lisa to that group. I think she will be happy when her Uncle heads back to Texas or at least, gets rid of the camera...

Kim & Jason and Bill back at the house. This will conclude Day 6. I had a great time today and look forward to tomorrow's ride. I really enjoyed meeting Kim & Jason. They are hilarious and great people!! Bill has some great neighbors & friends....
