The email about the RODNEY RECOVERY RIDE follows:
As you all know, Rodney Busby has been off his bike and recovering from his heart attack (February) and two operations to get him back to normal. I know, I know, what is normal for the Buzz? ANYWAY, Rodney is back amongst us and I asked him if he would like us to have a "Rodney Recovery Ride" in his honor. He said he would be honored and when I asked him where he would like to go, he said "The RED ROOSTER" in Haskell Texas. He said all the food is great there and they have FANTASTIC Chicken Fried Steak.
So, Saturday, 4-18-09, we shall meet at the Shell Station at the Kamay Y (Kell West (US 82) at the Kamay split) at 0930 hrs for the RODNEY RECOVERY RIDE. We will go KSU at 0945 hrs. It is about an 1 1/2 hour ride (97.72 miles) to Haskell. We should be back around 4 pm, so ya'll will have your night free. I will send out reminders as the time grows near. Rodney said he would like as many folks show up as possible and the more the merrier.
Let's all give Rodney & Vicki a good show of support and welcome him back to the riding life. He is, after all, one of ours. (end)
So join us if at all possible. Pictures will be taken, as usual, and I plan to have the ride on this blog. Let me rephrase that, I SHALL have the ride on this blog. Anyone that may have any questions or need further directions, feel free to email me at jbailey5161@att.net. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

John,
ReplyDeleteI've come to know you through this blogging thing and I am thankful to God that I've met you and your group cause you are Good People. It is hear t warming, in this day and age, to see people caring about other people and their well being. Motorcyclists are a rare bunch of guys abd gals...I'm so glad Rodney has recovered and will be joining your ride on the weekend.
All the best to all of you down in Texas...God Bless ya all and happy easter.
Berge,
ReplyDeleteSame here. It is not often, nowadays, to hear fellow bikers (C.M.A. excluded) thank God and let others know that they are praying for them by putting it in print. That tells me more about the man or woman, than the kind of bike they ride. I value our friendship and "mi casa es su casa". Ride safe Bro, and may God continue to keep a hedge of protection around you...
John
