Arizona Bound 4-19-09

Just a quick reminder. I am headed for my yearly solo ride to Tucson Arizona tomorrow at 3:30 a.m. I plan on going non-stop and as soon as I get there I will use Bill's computer and let ya'll know how long it took. Then, during the next week or so, IF at all possible, I will do the blog from there with daily posts of what we did that day complete with pics from the desert & mountains. If it's not possible, then I will go to Plan B. Right now, I don't have a plan B. So ya'll be careful, keep the rubber on the road and above all else, RIDE SAFE....see ya'll soon........ JOHN

  5. -V-,

Appreciate you more than you'll ever know. Made it here and it took about 18 hrs. As soon as I can,I will add pics.. I like riding the rides but I bought the bike for cross country runs because the BEST way to see the country and get in touch with your surroundings, is by motorcycle. It will even be greater next year because I will be on my Harley!

    Lady R,

Got to Bill's, got to his computer and will get the pics started soon. I will not forget the comment reply lesson I've learned. I may forget how to get home, but the comments on comments is here to stay!!

    Baron,

My bad....I got in and started talking with everyone and fell asleep. I apologize if I missed the post, but remember the patch on my vest: C.R.A.F.T. It fits me to a "t" lately. Stands for: Can't Remember A F&%^$% Thing. I am here in sunny Tucson Arizona and when Bill get's in from work at 3:00 p.m., we are heading out to the Saguaro National Park...I promise, I will try to keep up with the posts while I am here. I really appreciate your concern and thank you for the heads up...

    MQ,

Appreciate the kind words about the blog. Last year, my butt got sore between El Paso & Las Cruces (about the 600 mile mark). But then, I had just gotten back on bikes and only had logged 3,000 miles on Ms. Clone. This year, I left Wichita Falls Texas with over 21,000 miles
and butt did't even got sore. Next year, I will be on my Harley and it's seat is alot more comfortable. Oh yeah, here in the next few days, we are taken a ride out to Yuma and into California. I'll wave at ya from the Welcome to California sign..
