Signs & Police & Four Stars 3-6-09

Today, Friday 3-6-09, my foot was feeling a lot better and the pain meds had worn off, so I decided to get on the bike and go out for a ride. It killed me that yesterday it was 93 degrees and I couldn't ride because of the foot. It was 81 degrees when I headed out today, so that made up for it.. I decided to go to the billboard locations for the 09 Compassion Run , which is upcoming, take pictures of the signs and then run down to Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch in Henrietta Texas (20 miles South of here) and show the pics to Sissy, who is on the Compassion Run Committee. Scroll down and check out the events of the day and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE..

All of the 09 Compassion Run billboards are in Wichita Falls, Texas. The first I went to was on Southwest Parkway, just East of Taft, on the South side of the road.

The Southwest Parkway & Taft sign.

A close up of the sign on Southwest Parkway. If you click on the sign pics, it will enlarge them.

The second sign I went to was at 1515 Iowa Park Rd, on the South side of the street.

Another view of the Iowa Park Rd sign. I have always said that timing is everything. Because right on the shoulder of Iowa Park Road, in front of this sign, was the following:

A couple of former co-workers had a young lady stopped. Apparently she is one of the local "working girls" and had been walking up & down Iowa Park Rd. with her shirt up and the South forty of her butt hanging out of her almost non-existant shorts. Here, my former partner shows a bottle of booze, she had been nipping on, I guess to make her more attractive to the possible clientele passing by in the cars. That is Officer Joe, Sarah (on the ground) and Officer Scott (showing the bottle).

Sarah manages a smile for the unknown biker with the camera. (Nothing is sacred to me when I have that camera). She told Scott that " if he let her go, she would never do that again". Scott asked her "do what again?". The 20 year old then said: "uhh, I don't know"... Ya know, some things never change. Like the saying goes: for instant stupid, just add alcohol.. I hope after the Police left, she didn't go over and pee on our Compassion Run sign.. (Oh yeah, I asked & she gave me permission to take her picture.)

This is the third sign located at 1117 Central Fwy on the Northbound Service Road of I-44 between Iowa Park Rd & Maurine St.

After I got the last picture of the billboards, I rode down to Henrietta Texas to the Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch. Here are Charlie, manager and Jennie, salesgirl and good friend of mine.. For more on Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch, see this link and click on motorcycles: http://www.fourstarsautoranch.com/

This is Robert, owner of Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch & Four Stars Auto Ranch and I. Robert rides a Harley Screamin Eagle.. He has some wild stories of what happened to him while on road trips...

Robert & Jennie. Jennie & her husband, Matt, ride with us and are also PGR members.

This is Robert's Screamin' Eagle. The bike is beautiful....

If I were a younger man, I would buy this in a flash. But being the old fart that I am, my butt hurts just looking at it. But it is for sale..Stop by or call Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch and talk to Charlie, Sissy, Bill or Jennie. They will do their best to put you on this ride or any of the other bikes they have for sale. And they have a bunch!!

Robert comes out and mounts up on his bike to go to the Auto Ranch.. I am still learning the different models of Harley's and since this bike looks like Sissy's husband, Steve's bike, I'd say this is a 09 Harley CVO Screamin' Eagle Road Glide...

Some of the Heritages for sale

This is Ryan & Jennie. Ryan, I think, is the Service Manager

I saw this 20% off sign and got to looking...

These vests were included in the 20% off. I love that Superior Horsepower leather vest

Some bandana's and other accessories for sale inside.

Another good looking Harley, inside on the showroom floor, for sale.

If I didn't go cross country and just hung around the local area and did the runs here, I would get this Harley Crossbones. That seat sure looks comfortable...

The big cruisers for sale at Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch

I saw this bike and thought Phil had traded his in. This is only the second olive green bike I've seen. Phil has the other one.

Here is Sissy. I didn't get a chance to talk to her or show her those pictures because...See those papers she's holding? I couldn't talk to her because she just sold a bike and was doing the paperwork on it with the new owner...Way to go Sissy!!!!

Last picture of the post is of Jennie & Bill. Bill is one of the salesmen there and as many times as I have gone down to Four Stars, talked to him and taken pictures, I have never taken his pic. That has changed now...Welcome aboard Bill and I apologize for my oversight. I enjoyed getting out today and taking the pictures. I enjoyed seeing my old partner and friend again. And it goes without saying that I love going down to Four Stars Motorcycle Ranch to slobber on the bikes and see Charlie, Jennie, Robert, Sissy & Bill. I appreciate them putting up with me, the camera and the questions I usually have.

  2. Glad to hear you are feeling well enough to get out and ride... we are jealous. Temps are in the 30s in Fort Collins, CO... and snow is in the forecast. -- sigh!
