Blue Knights TX XX Seymour Texas Ride 3-20-09

Today, Friday 3-20-09, the Blue Knights TX XX had its Monthly weekday ride. This ride was to the Rock Inn Cafe, for lunch, in Seymour Texas. On today's ride were: Bud, Joe & LeAnn, David, John (me) & Amanda. Scroll down and join us on this ride and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE...

I went by my daughter's house at 9:30 a.m and picked her up. Amanda wanted to go today, so she was my passenger. Here she is heading for Ms. Clone. (I call my bike Ms. Clone for obvious reasons)

The staging point for today's ride was at Cheddar's on Kell West here in Wichita Falls, Texas. On weekday rides, with everyone working, you will get anywhere from two bikes showing up to fifteen..Today, we had four. Here are, Left to Right: David, Amanda & Bud

Here are David, me and Bud at Cheddars before heading out.

A lady pulled up in a pick-up truck & wanted to know if we wanted her to take a pic of all of us together. We said sure, and she took this pic of me, Amanda, David and Bud. We couldn't talk her into letting us take her pic and putting it on the post, but she said her name was Donna and she enjoys taking pictures. ., So, thank you for your kindness Donna, we appreciated it.

We were getting saddled up when Joe & LeAnn arrived.

Here is the group pic. Left to right: Bud, Amanda, LeAnn, Joe & David

And one with yours truly: Bud, me, LeAnn, Joe & David..

And we head out.. Here is Joe in the mirror shot...We were West bound on US 82.

A short time later, we arrive at The Rock Inn in Seymour Texas. This is Debbie, owner of the Rock Inn Cafe and Tim, a customer, who was riding his Harley today. Debbie says she does own and ride a scooter. We told her as long as it has two wheels, it was fine with us...See this link, http://travel.yahoo.com/p-travelguide-18918120R-rock_inn_cafe-i , for more on the Rock Inn Cafe

This was Tamara, our waitress..She was a great waitress and had a good sense of humor..

Amanda texting her hubby Matt while LeAnn & Joe talk to Bud & David..

Tim & David as David either starts to drink, finishes taking a drink or offering up a toast...

LeAnn looks on as Joe enjoys a good laugh. We had a great time today, telling lies and telling stories on one another...

Bud was right there in the thick of things....

As we get ready to depart the Rock Inn Cafe, LeAnn & Joe get together for a quick pic.. I think they make a great couple...Ya done good Joe.....What!!! Well ok.....LeAnn ya done good too....

Chester & Elizabeth happened by and Elizabeth took this picture of us.

Then, I took this picture of Elizabeth & Chester.

Then I took a picture of the group: Amanda, Joe, David, Elizabeth, Chester, Bud and LeAnn. Thanks for taking our picture Elizabeth and thank you both for being good sports and joining us for the picture..

We get saddled up and prepare to adios the area. LeAnn & Joe, Bud in the middle and David on the end

Joe's Harley needed some go juice, so we stopped at the Shell Gas station. Here are LeAnn & Joe at the pumps..

Amanda on Ms. Clone as Bud & David salute or shade their eyes...With this bunch, ya never know what they are doing or why...

Me (having a bad hair day) and Amanda..

David & Bud in Seymour Texas

Almost topped off......The Harley was thirsty..

While at the Shell Station, we got talking to these two guys, Garrett & Devin. They are enroute to Brady Texas from Missouri. They both are in the Missouri National Guard and are being deployed to Iraq in 80 days. Ride safe here, be safe in Iraq and thank you for your service to our country. God bless you both and may He watch over you while deployed and return you safely home...Ya know, there isn't enough we can do for or say to our military troops, to show the deep debt of gratitude we ALL owe them, including those in the past, those serving now and (if we as a country survive the Democrat debacle we have now), those in the future.. But we can SUPPORT our troops and we do!

As we talked to Garrett & Devin, Tim pulled in on his Harley

Here is Tim on his Harley with Garrett & Devin in the background. Great lookin' bike, Tim!!

We decided to return home to Wichita Falls by taking the back roads to Archer City Texas, stop at the Dairy Queen for something to drink and then run North up TX 79 to Wichita Falls. Here we head thru Seymour.

Amanda takes a self portrait as we roll along the highway

We come around the curve and see the US 82 Overpass. We would pass under it and continue on TX 422

The US 82 Overpass/Bypass

Amanda tried to get each bike centered, but with the bumps and wind, she had a little trouble. Here is Joe & LeAnn

Some areas are turning green already

Along the straight & narrow... What is on the back of LeAnn's shirt?

Texas A&M Old Army AGGIES shirt... Yes, LeAnn graduted from Texas A&M.. Kewl shirt...

I thought I was hearing the voices in my head talking to me again. Then I took this picture. It wasn't my voices, it was Amanda talking either to her mom or Matt, her hubby. Gotta love those cell phones on motorcycles..

Some of the scenic rockpiles off to our left

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'..Keep them bikes a rollin'...

We get to Archer City and the Dairy Queen. Here are LeAnn, Joe & Bud looking on..

Some extra chrome that Joe has added to his Harley. His bike is looking great...Where Joe has the skulls, my friend Bill in Tucson Arizona, who has a red Harley Fat Boy, has Confederate flags on his chrome covers. Had to have them special ordered. I will be going to Tucson in April & will be sure to get some close up shots of Bill's bike

Had to get a picture of this... Young love, ain't that sweet?

LeAnn in the Dairy Queen at Archer City Texas

Joe & LeAnn in the DQ at Archer City Texas

Joe & LeAnn had to head back to Wichita Falls, as Joe had to be at work at 3 p.m. When we left later, we were down to three bikes: my Vulcan, Bud's VTX, and David's Goldwing

Bud & David as we get ready to return to Wichita Falls, 42 miles North....

The last pic of this post is as we head North on TX 79 out of Archer City Texas. David up front, Bud to my front right and me at the rear. I had a good time today. The weather was good, although a little "nipply" this morning. We left in 55 degree weather and returned in 72 degree weather. I enjoyed meeting LeAnn and riding with Joe, Bud & David. I enjoyed taking Amanda along. She likes riding & always has a good time.
