RED RIVER HARLEY DAVIDSON 3-9-09

Today, Monday 3-9-09, I slept in to about 11:30 a.m. But I woke up without the headache I had when I went to bed at 2 a.m. I called Greg at Red River Harley Davidson to make sure he was there. Then I got up, got dressed, rode the bike to the post office downtown and then out to Red River to do two things: drop off some Chapter mail to Greg and to look at the Harley Road Kings that Russ had emailed me about. Scroll down for the visit to the Harley shop and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURE BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURE.

I get to the Harley shop & go see Greg. Greg runs the Riders Edge Program for Red River Harley Davidson and had just finished lunch. He told me he is on that Nutri-Sysyem weight loss program and has lost 40 pounds since January. Now Greg is 6'8" and I never knew he was overweight. He carried it well. But you can see now he is losing the weight and looking good..For more info on RED RIVER HARLEY DAVIDSON and the RIDERS EDGE PROGRAM, visit this link: http://redriverharley-davidson.com/Default.asp

Greg got a call & while I waited I took a pic of the wall in his office. He had the different tanks & colors of the Harley's in these great frames..

A look at the Rider's Edge classroom. If you haven't ridden a bike, they teach you all about the motorcycle and how to ride. They also teach motorcycle safety courses and refresher courses for old farts like me. Give Greg a call at Red River Harley Davidson and talk to him about the courses and which one would benefit you. RRHD 940-264-7743 and ask for Greg

The Rider's Edge classroom. I will talk to Greg and see if I can come out when they are on the motorcycle course, with a class, and take some pics. I know they do the beginners course on Buell's.

Looking out at the showroom from the Rider's Edge Program classroom

Here is one of the hard working sales girls, Samantha or Sam as we call her. She had just come over to the wall by Greg's door and turned on the in-house music..

Here is Jim, one of the salesmen at Red River Harley Davidson. Jim was on the Rhineland Texas run yesterday with us. We had 51 bikes show up. See the post below for the Rhineland Texas Ride.

Here is the ever hard-working man, Choyce....Oh, by the way, there is nothing wrong with this picture..It must be your eyes..(grin)

Russ had called from Hattiesburg Mississippi, and we were discussing the Road Kings, when Greg came over and gave me my weekly hug. I am the short 5'10" fat guy. Greg is the 6'8" in shape guy..You couldn't ask for a better friend...

Here is Choyce & Greg, both outstanding folks in my book. Choyce will be my salesman when I get either a New Heritage Softail Classic, Ultra Classic or, now added to the mix, a Road King...

A view of the showroom from Choyce's office

Here is Cash with that "oh God, not him again look". Cash was with us on the Rhineland Texas Ride also..He is a trip!....I think the new up-to-date word for trip is "hoot". So, amend this to: He is a hoot to be around...

Two hard working sales girls: Sam & Wendi. Wendi is now my favorite salesgirl at RED RIVER HARLEY DAVIDSON

Russ has been trying to look out for me. Being disabled and on a fixed income, I am always worried about prices going up and what I can afford and not afford. Russ sent me some info on Harley Road Kings, a bike I never even considered or looked at. They are a grand cheaper than the Heritage Classic I want. But I looked at this Road King, and the color is right, the price is right, the size is right, it's a HARLEY and now, I am seriously considering this bike. My favorite colors on a bike are either Black or Blue & gray (silver). Plus this has the hard saddlebags that can be locked as opposed to the leather ones on the Heritage Classic and on my current bike.

The front of the Road King. In my humble opinion, this bike is better looking that the Heritage Classic. I don't know about the handling differences, but that paint scheme is outstanding...

Then Choyce showed me this immaculate 02 Ultra Classic with 25,000 miles on it. This bike is loaded and they are only asking $13,000 for it. I tell you right now, that it's a steal for that price. I checked with the Credit Union I use and they place the loan value at $12,500, which is great. This bike won't be here long. If your interested, give Choyce a call at Red River Harley Davidson today... 940-264-7743 and ask for Choyce.

The 02 Ultra Classic for $13,000. This bike is in showroom condition & it sounds great with the Vance pipes. Call Choyce today! This will conclude this post. I enjoyed riding today, a little windy but at 81 degrees, the temp was perfect. It was good to see everyone at Red River Harley Davidson today and you frequent viewers know that the Harley shop is one of my three favorite hangouts...
