The Michigan Ride Day 1 5-20-09

On Wednesday 5-20-09, I set out on a non-stop ride from my place here in Texas to my brother's place up in Michigan, a distance of about 1251 miles. It took me 20 hours 31 minutes from my garage to his garage. DAY 1 is a short post so scroll down as the ride begins and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES BIGGER, JUST CLICK THE PICTURE.

Janice took this picture of me at 3 a.m. just before I opened the garage and departed for Michigan

It was basically a non-eventful ride, thank God. Ms. Clone ran great and I had zero problems with her. The gremlin bell stayed attached going up and did its job well. This is the Missouri state line sign as I continued East on I-44.

I-44 goes on for many, many miles in places with no curves..Just straight roadway...It's pretty though

This Ozark pic is the last pic of the ride up. I large pterodactyl like bug hit the lens on my camera right after this was taken and I put up the camera until I could clean it and that wasn't until I got to my brothers house.

Check out North Texas Bikers (1) at http://www.jjskewlstuff.blogspot.com/ for rides, events & posts from January 08-November 08. Until next post, ya'll be careful out there, ride safe, keep the rubber on the road & pray for our Troops................JOHN
