JIM'S BIKE DETAIL SHOP- WICHITA FALLS, TEXAS 2-19-09

Yesterday, I was in the car with Janice, stopped for the red light at Southwest Parkway & Barnett Rd on our way home from some shopping. I saw a biker pull out of the building on the corner where we were stopped. I waved at the biker, he waved back and then we went our separate ways. Today, Thursday 2-19-09, I was enroute to the hospital for some tests and I see the front of the building. Some folks have been cleaning up the building and repainting it and getting ready to open a business. What kind of business? Last night at 9:30 p.m. the business name was painted on the building. I was extremely pleased to see the business was: JIM'S BIKE DETAIL SHOP. Above is the picture of the front of the building.

I stopped in and Jim took the time out from painting to tell me about the shop and let me take some pictures for the blog. Meet Jim, owner of the business

This is Jim & his Harley. Jim told me he bought the bike almost 2 years ago and he is just short of 40,000 miles. So, that will let you know that the business is BIKER OWNED & BIKER OPERATED. Jim has worked for RED RIVER HARLEY DAVIDSON and worked with Charlie, who now manages the FOUR STARS MOTORCYCLE RANCH in Henrietta Texas. Jim has been busting his butt getting the shop ready. I will continue to give ya'll updates as the opening day gets closer and the interior takes shape..Jim told me they are hoping to open for business on MARCH 2, 09. Mark that date down on your calenders so you can drop in.

Jim gave me the following info on the business: JIM'S BIKE DETAIL SHOP, 5400 Southwest Parkway Wichita Falls Texas 76310. (NW Corner of Southwest Parkway & Barnett Rd). Hours will be: Mon- Fri 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Fri & Sat open all day. Jim's Bike Detail Shop will specialize in detailing motorcycles and they will also be doing State Inspections on bikes & cars. I might add at this time, you may want to call Jim on those great riding days and make sure he will be open. Being a man who loves to ride, I wouldn't blame him one bit for taking off now & then and going for a nice ride with friends. Also, as stated earlier, I will keep you, the viewers, updated on his progress getting the building ready for opening day.

That will conclude this post. I was glad to meet Jim today and I thank him for his time.
