A Couple Of Days In February 2-11-09

The following post covers two days here in North Texas, Tuesday 2-10-09, (yesterday) was the day Rodney got sent home from the hospital and today, Wednesday 2-11-09 when David called and we ran around town on the bikes taking care of business. Scroll down and check out the two days and REMEMBER: IF YOU WANT TO SEE THE PICTURES BIGGER, JUST CLICK ON THE PICTURES.

About the time Rodney was getting dismissed from the hospital, we were having severe storms descend upon us. I looked out back and noticed three color patterns to the storm. Looking due North from my back patio, this was the view..

Looking Northeast, you could see where the storm was heading.

And looking back to the North west you could see the dark rain and the lighter color of the hail laden clouds. While we here in Wichita Falls Texas got a good rain out of this, this system produced the usual tornado or two to some surrounding county's and as always, Oklahoma.

Today, it was cloudless and a brisk 59 degrees out. David rode over and we went riding around town, eating, visiting and buying stuff at Wal-Mart.. Here is David out front just before we headed out..

David to the rear on Barnett Rd. from my mirror

David from an over the shoulder shot as we continue North on Barnett Rd.

David wanted to eat, so we stopped at the PumpJack Restaurant. He even bought lunch. That overpass is NB US 287 that turns into I-44 in just two blocks to my rear. This view is to the South

Out front of the PumpJack..It resembles one of the metal restaurants that were popular in the 50's and you see in the in the movies depicting the 50's era..And the food is great..

Our bikes out front in the parking lot of the PumpJack.

Next it was down to Eddie Hill's Fun Cycles. (http://www.eddiehillsfuncycles.com/). This is from left to right: Chris, Tosca & Mark.. This was my first time down to Eddie Hills this year...

This is the ever hard workin' man, Roger

I couldn't believe it. The motorcycle I love more than the Harley Softail Classic was still there. This is the 08 Vulcan 2000 Classic that I am addicted to for some reason.

The Vulcan 2000 from the front...Still makes my heart go pitter patter.

Here is Trey and Monty, showing all the world that Roger isn't the only one that works hard. Of course, Trey is the GM of Eddie Hills and all that work with him are great folks..

We left Eddie Hills and head to the South side of town to get some stuff at the Wal-mart. Here is David up on the SB US 287 Overpass.

Last pic of the post is of David as we near the end of the SB Overpass. We were going to stop by Rodney's and get some pics of him & Vicki as they recover from the hospital ordeal, But we'll let them rest and will go over and bug them tomorrow. I had fun out riding around with David today and look forward to the next ride.
