First stop was at Mike's. Mike was one of those whose house flooded this summer during the flood. They are in the process now of remodeling the house. Here is Mike's Harley. It sat in water over the license plate while in the garage while it was flooding.
Another pic of Mike's Harley.. The Harley guys did a good job draining the crankcase and other things on the bike to keep it in running condition..
Here is Mike helping his mom remodel & rewire her house. She lives down the street from Mike and had 3 1/2 feet of water in her house too.
We left Mike's and went down to the Red River Harley Davidson Dealership to pick up Russ's bike. Here are a few of the used bikes out front.. for more info, check out the following link: http://redriverharley-davidson.com/Default.asp
A bike we were looking at. Had a nice purple paint job on it...
One of the used 105th Anniversary Harley's for sale..
Mike & Russ look at one of the other used Harley's.
The 105th Anniversary bike from the right side
We went inside and guess who was putting out the Harley Christmas items...It was Jennie, my favorite salesgirl...
Some of the 2009 Harley's on display in the showroom..
Another one of the new Harley's at the Red River Harley Davidson Dealership..
Greg, who runs the Rider's Edge program and a good friend, came out of his office to say hi. In the Toy Run post (below), Greg was Santa... Greg is also the Secretary/Treasurer of our Blue Knights TX XX Chapter
The Christmas tree in the main aisle of the dealership..
As often as I am the dealership and around the counter, this was the first time I saw the Harley rings & necklaces...
I tried to get a better pic and if you click on this picture, you can see the workmanship put into these rings. I now have something else on my Harley Stuff Wish List that I intend on getting after I get my next Harley..
This is Ramona & Randy. They are from Artesia New Mexico and were in town to visit their son, who is stationed out at Sheppard AFB, located here in Wichita Falls Texas. He is an instructor out at one of the schools there. Randy is also the Treasurer for the Renegade Pigs M/C located in New Mexico..
While there, our good friend, Lance came in to look around. Here is Greg & Lance.
Here is a picture of two hard working salesgirls at the dealership, Wendi & Jennie
Here is a shot of Lance & me. Lance isn't feeling too good as he believes he is coming down with the crud going around the area now. I hope he can kick it because that virus is nasty and none of us like to see our friends sick...
Some more of the 2009 Harley's on display & for sale..
This is Chelsea and her pet Chihuahua, Marilyn Monroe...I guess Marilyn was cold and needed some extra body heat..She looked pretty content..Thanks for letting me take your picture Chelsea..
This is the ultimate hard worker and boss of Wendi & Jennie, Amber. Last week when I was down at the dealership, Amber was working and she was catching the crud. She looks a lot happier now than then...
When we were getting ready to leave, Mike's other half, Robbie & her dad, Richard drove up. Robbie has her own Harley and Richard has an Ultra Classic Screamin' Eagle. Here comes Robbie to give hugs to Mike. Of course, he had to wait because Robbie had to hug Russ & me first..
Here are Robbie, Mike & Russ in the parking lot of the Red River Harley Davidson Dealership..
Here is Russ and his Harley Ultra Classic, "The Black Knight", fixin' to head to the house.
Russ left for the house on his bike and I dropped Mike off at his mom's house so he could continue with remodeling Here is Mike by his truck
On the way home, I was stopped at a light and saw the price of gas is now at $1.69 a gallon..I still have a BAD feeling that this is only foreplay with the public by the oil companies and they are fixin' to really screw us..
Russ brought me back a Harley cap from Florida and I got the shirt at the Harley shop. I have been holding off on buying Harley stuff, but I feel that my transformation is beginning and the crackling sounds I have been hearing lately aren't the fires of hell but rather the build up of ice there. (See note, left side of post towards the top)
